The Original Rope Cat Scratching Basket

We had a cardboard pad that lasted maybe a month. This basket has been on the rug for six weeks and Bean sleeps in it every afternoon, then works the rim with her claws. The rope ball is a little extra, but she bats it between stretches. Sofa corners are finally quiet.

I bought it because he ignored every plush bed. Night one he circled, kneaded, and parked. Three weeks later it is still his first stop after breakfast. Looks decent next to the coffee table, which I did not expect from a scratcher.

Took my girl two days to hop in, which stressed me out. Once she did, she claimed it. She still hops on the armchair sometimes, but the deep scratches are on the rope now. Wish the ball cord were a tad longer, otherwise it is the station I wanted.

Had it a month. He scent-marks the weave, stretches until he almost falls out, then bats the knot. I used to hide cardboard under the console. This one stays out because it looks like it belongs. Worth it for the quiet upholstery alone.
